Properties & Applications & PackagesInquiry
Antioxidant MBI is a white or light yellow fine powder crystal, non-toxic, bitter taste, relative density 1.40-1.44, melting point not lower than 285℃, soluble in ether, acetone and ethyl acetate, insoluble in petroleum ether and dichloride. Methane, insoluble in carbon tetrachloride, benzene and water.

This product is used as an antioxidant for natural rubber, diene synthetic rubber and latex, and can also be used for polyethylene. It has protective effects against oxygen, weather aging and static aging. It can also effectively protect against copper damage and overcome the adverse effects caused by excessive sulfur during crystal vulcanization. This product can be used alone or in combination with other antioxidants (such as DNP, AP and other non-polluting antioxidants) to achieve obvious synergistic effects. This product is easily dispersed in rubber, does not discolor under sunlight, and is slightly polluting. When used alone, the dosage is generally 1-1.5 parts. When the dosage exceeds 2 parts, clearing and frost will occur. The dosage in latex foam rubber is 0.5 parts. Because this crystal has a bitter taste, it is not suitable for use in rubber products that come into contact with food.
