2-Hydroxypropyl methacrylate, HPMA

Colorless liquid. The boiling point is 96℃ (1.33kPa), 57℃ (66.7Pa), the relative density is 1.066 (25/16℃), the refractive index is 1.4470, and the flash point is 96℃. Soluble in general organic solvents, still soluble in water.

Hydroxypropyl methacrylate can be used as a reactive diluent and cross-linking agent in radiation curing systems, and can also be used as a resin cross-linking agent, plastic and rubber modifier. It can be used to produce thermosetting coatings, adhesives, fiber treatment agents and modifiers for synthetic resin copolymers. It can also be used as one of the main cross-linking functional group monomers used in acrylic resins.
