2-(Morpholinothio)benzothiazole (MBS) is a sulfenamide-type rubber chemical used to accelerate sulfur vulcanization and improve processing stability. It is a widely accepted choice for rubber compounds that need balanced scorch safety and efficient cure performance.
Light yellow to brown flake crystals. Easily soluble in methylene chloride, acetone, soluble in benzene, carbon tetrachloride, ethyl acetate, ethanol, slightly soluble in gasoline, insoluble in water.
It is a post-effect vulcanization accelerator with low activity, large ductility, short vulcanization time, excellent scorch resistance, safe processing, easy dispersion, no blooming, slight discoloration, and is suitable for natural rubber and synthetic rubber. Mainly used in the manufacture of tires, hoses, rubber shoes, conveyor belts and other industrial rubber products.
