Sorbic acid

White crystalline powder, hardly soluble in water, easily soluble in ethanol and other organic solvents.

It is an acidic preservative for food that is currently allowed to be used in China. It is also the most widely used high-efficiency non-toxic food antifungal agent/preservative in the other countries. In addition, it is also used in cosmetics, medicines, resins, spices, rubber, tobacco and feed industries.
