Properties & Applications & PackagesInquiry

Product Overview

4,4'-Dithiodimorpholine (DTDM) is a sulfur-containing rubber additive used as a delayed-action accelerator and sulfur donor. It is valued for its ability to improve scorch safety, extend processing time and support consistent vulcanization performance in a wide range of elastomer systems.
The vulcanizing agent DTDM is in the form of white or light yellow crystals (or powder). The vulcanizing agent DTDM can be used to improve the anti-reversion and thermal aging resistance of sulfur vulcanized elastomers.

Performance Benefits

Improves scorch safety during mixing and shaping.
Helps maintain stable cure behavior.
Supports reliable processing in high-temperature compounding.
Widely used in tire and technical rubber formulations.

Typical Applications

Tires and tire components
Rubber hoses and belts
Seals, gaskets and molded rubber goods
NR, SBR, NBR and EPDM compounds
Industrial rubber goods requiring scorch delay
This product can be used as vulcanizing agent and accelerator for natural rubber and synthetic rubber. This product will not cause frosting, pollution, discoloration and easy dispersion of the rubber material. The vulcanized rubber obtained when used in effective and semi-effective vulcanization systems has good heat resistance and aging resistance. It can release active sulfur at the vulcanization temperature. The effective sulfur content is 27%. It is safe to operate. When used alone, the vulcanization speed is slow. When used together with thiazoles, thiurams and dithiocarbamate salts, the vulcanization speed can be increased.

This product is especially suitable for butyl rubber, which is mainly used in the manufacture of tires, butyl inner tubes, tapes and heat-resistant rubber products. It is also used as asphalt stabilizer on highways.
