Dioctyl Adipate (DOA) is a clear, oily liquid plasticizer used in flexible PVC and other polymer systems where low-temperature performance is important. It delivers excellent softness, flexibility and processing stability, making it a preferred choice for cold-resistant applications and flexible formulations.
Colorless or slightly yellow oily liquid. The boiling point is 210℃ (0.67kPa), 175℃ (0.27kPa), 167℃ (0.130kPa), the relative density is 0.990 (20/4℃), and the refractive index is 1.4470. Flash point 193℃. Soluble in most organic solvents, slightly soluble in ethylene glycols, and insoluble in water. Has a special smell.

DINP is an excellent cold-resistant plasticizer for polyvinyl chloride, which gives the product excellent low-temperature flexibility, and has certain photothermal stability and water resistance. In plastisol, the initial viscosity is low and the viscosity stability is good. It is often used together with DOP and other main plasticizers in cold-resistant agricultural films, wires, sheets, artificial leather, outdoor water pipes and packaging films for frozen foods. It can also be used as a low-temperature plasticizer for many synthetic rubbers and a plasticizer for resins such as nitrocellulose and ethylcellulose.
