Product Overview

Bis(2-ethylhexyl) sebacate is a clear, oily liquid plasticizer often abbreviated as DOS. It is valued for outstanding low-temperature performance, excellent permanence and very good resistance to extraction. In formulation systems, DOS helps improve flexibility, durability and processing behavior, especially in applications where cold resistance is important.

Colorless to pale yellow liquid. Relative density: 0.910(25℃), melting point: -55℃, boiling point: 248℃(4×133.322Pa), refractive index: 1.447(20℃).

It is insoluble in water but soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol, ether and benzene. It can be mixed and used with ethyl cellulose, polystyrene, polyethylene, polyvinyl chloride, vinyl chloride-acetate copolymer, etc. Good cold resistance.
