2-Butoxyethyl Acetate (also written 2 butoxyethyl acetate, common synonyms Dipropylene Glycol Methyl Ether Acetate — see note below — and ethylene glycol butyl ether acetate) is a colorless, mild-fruity-odour ester solvent (CAS 112-07-2) with excellent solvency, moderate boiling point and good formulation compatibility for high-solid coatings and inks. It is miscible with many organic solvents and shows limited miscibility with water, making it versatile for both solvent-borne and some water-borne systems.
